Conceptual Packaging Design for TheWoo Store/Istanbul
The Woo is a Istanbul based, conceptual store which sells household objects, office objects,furniture designs etc. I decided to create a new concept for TheWoo Store. As summer is coming and trip plans has started, I wanted to make a travelconcept. Later, it turned to a more specific and special concept. A concept based on thebook The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy.
I focused on especially to the “towel” and “don’t panic” lines. The towel is very importantbecause as in the book is written; a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitchhiker) discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel withhim, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, faceflannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weathergear, space suit etc., etc.
So, I thought of a trip kit that will include main travel items and will work like a panicbutton/box. Which will be necessary to use spontaneously.
